Last Longer In Bed Sprays – Do They Work?

Premature Ejaculation Sprays

They are called numbing spays, premature ejaculation sprays, delay sprays, or last longer in bed sprays. But whatever you choose to call them these desensitizing agents all work in the same general way, by numbing a male’s genitals during sex in an attempt to delay ejaculation. Does this method work? Is it dangerous? And are there better ways to last longer in bed?

Let’s find out as I give you the low down on the art of penile numbing.

Are Last Longer In Bed Sprays Common?

When I talk to a new client who signs up for my Stamina Coach personal training program, during the first consultation I’ll sit him down and talk about his history with premature ejaculation and what if any methods, products, or treatments he has tried in the past.

And I get a lot of clients who have tried using premature ejaculation sprays or creams at one point or another. For every one of them, this did not work in the long run and wasn’t considered a satisfactory solution to premature ejaculation (I’ll explain why this was down the page).

What Are Premature Ejaculation Sprays?

Premature Ejaculation Sprays are one of the most heavily marketed products towards men with premature ejaculation and work (or attempt to work) by partially numbing your penis. They are called a variety of things including the following:

  • Premature Ejaculation Spray
  • Delay Spray
  • Last Longer In Bed Spray
  • Penile Spray
  • Numbing Spray
  • PE Spray
  • Lidocaine Spray

Despite the different names most sprays and creams marketed towards men with premature ejaculation work on a pretty simple assumption. That sensitivity stops men from lasting longer in bed. These products, therefore, numb your penis to reduce the sensation experienced.

On the surface, this sounds like a logical way to last longer in bed. But, as I’ll explain here, it is often one of the worst things you can do. Because, despite what most guys think, premature ejaculation is almost never caused by an oversensitive penis.

The Oversensitive Penis Myth

The whole promise of products such as last longer sprays is that men ejaculate early because their penis is oversensitive or that there is too much stimulation to the head of the penis. Although this might seem like a reasonable assumption to make, it’s simply not true for the large majority of men who experience premature ejaculation.

This is why I believe that it’s much more effective to focus on the whole system because there is so much more going on than just the sensation you are feeling in the tip of your penis. For example, one module of my Stamina Coach course teaches you how to control and target your mental focus during sex. You will use a variety of methods to achieve this, both mental and physical, and you will easily see how much more effective this approach is to stop you from overfocusing on just what you are feeling around the head of your penis.

Types of Premature Ejaculation Sprays

Although most Last Longer sprays on the market claim to be unique in some way there is not a great deal of difference between most products.

They all contain an active anesthetic agent of some form and claim to work on the premise that by numbing your penis you will last longer in bed

The main difference is the amount of time they take to seep into your skin, and whether or not they can keep your penis numb after the agent has been scrubbed off.

What Are The Best Premature Ejaculation Sprays?

If you do decide to go down the route of using numbing sprays during sex, I recommend that you do it only for “emergencies” and don’t get into the habit of relying on these numbing sprays each and every time you have sex.

I won’t recommend any particular brands here but just make sure that you purchase one that has been approved by the relevent athoroties.

Make Sure Not To Numb Your Partner Too

I list all the major drawbacks later in this guide but there is one major thing that you need to watch out for that I’d like to cover here.

When you are applying the spray make sure that you are incredibly vigilant to make sure that you don’t get even the tiniest trace on your partner. Because the female erroneous zones and particularly her clitoris is hypersensitive and if just the smallest amount of the spray’s active agent gets on her you can forget about giving her an orgasm.

In practice, this is incredibly hard to do. And if you’ve had a few drinks you can pretty much forget about it because applying the delay spray without getting any on your partner throughout sex will require strict focus.

Steps you should take when applying the last longer spray:

  1. Move to a completely separate room from your partner (bathroom is recommended)
  2. Remove all your clothes
  3. Apply the delay spray following the manufacturer’s instructions
  4. You’ll have to wait for the active ingredients to start numbing your penis (5 to 20 minutes)
  5. Shower and wash extremely thoroughly

Do They Work?

In short. This method will help some men last longer in bed some of the time.

What Are The Side Effects Of Last Longer Sprays?

Where this method of attempting to last longer in bed really falls down is with the long list of side effects, inconveniences, and let’s face it, it’s just a bit weird in the eyes of most women.

Side effects and drawbacks:

  • Rashes
  • Lack of sexual pleasure
  • Impotence (temporarily or permanently)
  • Risk of numbing your partner’s genitals
  • Allergic reactions
  • Unromantic and a surefire mood killer
  • Expensive if used continuously

Desensitizing Condoms

This is also why you should steer clear of anesthetic condoms.

Do You Recommend Using Numbing Sprays to last longer in bed?

If you have read any of my books or articles on how to last longer in bed you will already know the answer to this.

No. I don’t recommend using any sort of numbing product.

It’s actually moving in the opposite direction. Your problem is not that you’re penis is too sensitive, it’s that you don’t know how to harness the sensation and arousal you are feeling. it’s not hard to be working on a few specific areas. But when you try to mask everything you are feeling with artificial sprays and creams you will lose all ability to harness and control arousal.

After a few months, many men find that they…

Other methods to last longer in bed

The biggest myth out there when it comes to premature ejaculation is that it’s caused by your penis being too sensitive.

Ride the wave of pleasure don’t numb it down.

In my in-depth guide on how to last longer in bed, part 4 looks at turn-backs and how to manage your arousal.

Arousal isn’t your enemy. You just have to learn how to harness it. You need to learn how to experience all that arousal in full and then use the ejaculatory skills you have learned to turn back.

This might sound tough but it’s not that hard to do with some structured training and practice.

The problem is that when you start numbing your penis with last longer sprays and anesthetic condoms you totally lose the ability to handle your arousal.

This is also why you should steer clear of anesthetic condoms. This is also why you should steer clear of anesthetic condoms.

Just like so-called premature ejaculation pills, delay sprays belong to the quick fix basket of premature ejaculation treatments. And while they have a few advantages there are a lot of potential side effects and drawbacks which you should be aware of before you whip out that spray can in front of your girl.
